Anne Howden brings to her work more than 20 years of experience both
as a hands-on manager and a nationally-recognized consultant and educator for nonprofits and foundations.
Prior to establishing Anne Howden Consulting, Anne served for ten years
as Senior Consultant with The Stevens Group which became LarsonAllen Public Service Group. Prior to joining The Stevens Group,
she served in senior executive and finance roles for major nonprofit human service and arts organizations in the Twin Cities
of Minnesota as well as for local government and private funding organizations. This breadth and depth of experience has provided
Anne with very practical perspectives on a wide variety of organizational development, board, and financial issues.
In addition to her role as consultant and advisor to many local and national
nonprofits and foundations, Anne is a national lecturer, public speaker, and educator on a variety of nonprofit management,
board, and financial topics.
Anne has served on the faculty of the Masters of Arts Administration
program at St. Mary's University of Minnesota, the national Council on Foundations New Staff Institute, the Minnesota Council
on Foundations New Staff Institute, and the University of St. Thomas Center for Nonprofit Management. She is also a co-author
of "Budgeting Your Way to Financial Stability", a publication of LarsonAllen Public Service Group.
Anne holds a master's degree from the Harvard University School of Business
Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
